This one has something for all ages. The 17 miles of manmade caverns and corridors beneath Louisville will leave you breathless. There are more than a few options for exploring including an SUV pulled tram and even the world’s only fully underground zip line course.
While in Louisville, why not check out the Kentucky Derby Museum. This modern tribute to old southern culture is the perfect cap on any day. You’ll see an exciting tour through the derby’s history, with many exhibits, and photographs. There’s also an amazing 360-degree theatre and it gets capped off with a trip to the famous winner’s circle. If you come down at the right time of year, you could even get yourself dressed up and enjoy a mint julep while watching the most famous horse race in the country.
