Most people in the U.S. think of breakfast as foods like bacon, eggs or cereal. These foods become no-nos in many new diets. Why not allow yourselves to eat non-breakfast foods, like rice or vegetables? People in other parts of the world eat this sort of breakfast all the time. You don’t necessarily have to eat this way. The point is to expand what you consider breakfast and try new things.
You Aren’t Being More Active
Most people need to exercise regularly in order to shed pounds. If you and your family haven’t made a habit of exercising, that could be the reason why your weight is staying the same. While it can be difficult to work in a formal workout at the gym, even doing something as simple as walking together each evening after dinner can do you all wonders.
When weight loss goes slowly, it’s easy to give up your efforts. Healthy weight loss takes time and patience and, most of all, consistency. While losing a pound or two a week may seem like a slow way to go, it is the key to losing weight and keeping it off. If you find that you and your family have become discouraged, then maybe it’s time to track your successes so that you don’t give up.
Successful dieters are consistent in their efforts. They’re also willing to try new foods to replace the ones they have been eating. Finally, they put themselves on a physical fitness routine. If you and your family haven’t taken these steps, it may be why your diets are failing.
