This explains why those underwires, always poked through and pierced my skin. It explains why my boobs never looked right no matter what the bra I wore promised to do. It wasn’t until Saturday that me and boobs were born again – seriously! I had the pleasure to meet the creators and inventors of Trusst Lingerie. These women had the amazing idea to reinvent one of the most important under garments available to women.
Laura and Sophia are the mastermind behind the idea of removing the burden of support from our shoulders. They took to 3D printing and after 300 prototypes finally agreed on what would work. I couldn’t see it, because it’s super secret, but I imagine the truss is like a tiara cupping your breast into the perfect position for the best support.
When I read their story and checked out their kickstarter (which was met in 5 days!) I knew that I had to visit them and help spread the word for the betterment of our tatas!
They created three styles of bras (and for those of who love sets – matching panties!) They’re called the Jessica, Marjory, and Suzanne. Such classic names for something so innovative and new!
As you can see, they are full coverage bras and absolutely gorgeous. I was able to view, touch and feel the Jessica bra, and it is absolutely soft. Picture your favorite jersey pj pants, but for your boobs! Even the lace is soft! I tried on a prototype, I believe it could have been for the Marjory bra. I bent down, reached up, took the straps down, and these girls stays in place ya’ll! Oh and muffin top boobs either!
Thanks to Laura and Sophia, I discovered that I was not, a 42C cup as I had thought all these years, I’m actually a 42DD!! A double D!! So here is what I learned. Forget what fits in the cup, you can actually size yourself for the perfect band and cup size! What you’ll need to do is measure right under your boobs, this will give you your band size. Then you’ll want to measure across the fullest part of your breasts. Keep in mind that there is usually a 5 inch difference between the band and the cup measurement. You can then go on to Trusst’s website and find your size! That’s it!
I also realized that for some of us plus sized girls, we really can’t tell how big or small our breasts actually are. What Sophia and Laura told me is that the skinnier we are the bigger our boobs look, and vise versa. So if you’re curious like me, grab yourself on the sides of your boobs, flatten and push outwards. Do you see that?! Do you see how much bigger your breasts actually are?!
Of course if you don’t feel like manhandling your breasts, you can just go onto Trusst’s site and pre-order your bra today, so that you can see the magic and feel the full support yourself!
