It’s time for the Top 10 Summer Activities for Kids List! Summer and sunshine is upon us, the kids are getting restless and most likely, so are you. I’ve put together a Top 10 list of the best activities to do with kids! Some are free (or nearly free) and some aren’t but they’re fun and educational too. I hope you get the chance to try them out and have fun with the whole family!Water Balloon Fight
1. Water Balloon Fight
Water balloons are fairly inexpensive and super fun to play with. Parent and children can form teams. This also gets the whole family moving! It’s hot out there and what’s more refreshing than a water balloon fight?
2. Camping
Camping is fun for the whole family! This will also give your scouts a chance to show you all that they learned. Our kids are getting older, and this year we’re planning our first camping trip! You can either Tent it out or rent cabins. Tenting is inexpensive for the weekend and you can all live off the land! So much fun!
3. Pool Day
You may not have a pool in your backyard, but have you checked out your local public pool? They’re super inexpensive even if you don’t have a Summer pass to it. They offer kids 2-18 free lunch, there are life guards and chaperones, some even have water slides! This can definitely turn into a fun for the whole family day!
4. Park
Going to the park will help your kids get the exercise they need. You can even plan a picnic. Besides, who doesn’t love the swings?!
5. Outdoor Water Park
If you and your family are a thrill seeker, then an outdoor water park is just for you! They have slides, lazy pools, wave pools, coaster slides, etc. It’s a wet and happy day for everyone!
6. Beach
If your family is the sand between your toes kind, then spending the day or the weekend at the beach is right up your alley. Sun, water, sand, and fun! Bring a cooler filled with water and some snacks and let the sunbathing, water-splashing, wave-riding fun commence!
7. Theme/Amusement Park
Again, if you’re a thrill seeker, but you don’t want to spend the day in water, then a theme park or amusement park is for you! Rollercoasters, thrill rides, kids area! There’s a place for everyone!
8. Zoo
If your little one is starting to imitate animal noises, then you should definitely take a trip to the zoo! How awesome would it be if they could see the real life animal?! It’s fun, educational, and it gets everyone out of the house for a few hours!
9. Museum
Another educational day trip would be the Museum. So much history to learn, and cool things to see. Our kids love the dinosaurs! It’s inexpensive, and you can also check to see if they have a Kid’s Free Admission Day.
10. Bowling
If you haven’t heard most Bowling Centers are partners with KidsBowlFree.com. It’s a wonderful way to get your kids to bowl and save some cash. All you have to do is sign them up and print our your coupons. Two free games everyday for the whole Summer!
I hope this list has helped give you some ideas on what to do this Summer. Going stir-crazy is not fun for anyone!
