Red Cheeks
Not only do I have to hide my facial hair because of my PCOS, but I also have very red cheeks. It’s not a disease or a syndrome of anything, I just have naturally red cheeks, but they’re in blotches. It’s annoying and ugly, and sometimes make up doesn’t hide it very well. I never really liked using make up because it never did anything it said it would. Not to mention I have sensitive skin, and irritation is a big issue. Even some mineral make up makes me break out. Now I know I don’t talk too much about make up here, but I have to this time. I need to tell you how I’ve made my red cheeks disappear!
The Hunt for Better Makeup
I never had acne as a teenager, even though it is a symptom of PCOS, but I do have a lot of facial hair. Realistically no one wants to see a 5’0clock shadow on a woman! Not to mention the red blotches on my face. As I inch towards the big 3-0, I’m noticed some blemishes coming through as well. So now I’m finding myself asking, “Really body, adult acne?!” And my body answers with a yes! Concealer alone has not been totally beneficial, and when I add foundation to it, it’s a big ol’ greasy mess! Hence the blemishes. I realized, that at twenty nine years-old I have to re-learn my makeup and She Speaks helped me.
She Speaks and L’Oreal Magic
When She Speaks asked me if I would be interested in trying the new L’Oreal Magic BB Cream, I thought, “Well why not? What if it does work?” So I said yes. I’ve been using it for about three weeks now, and I have seen significant results. I know that there are more expensive brands that offer the same incentives, but this one is just as good and affordable. I apply the BB cream first. A little dab on both cheeks, forehead, chin, and neck is really all you need. It contains little beads that blend with your natural skin tone. It’s smooth and hydrating, but not greasy at all. I then apply a little bit of concealer (I used to go through an entire stick of concealer a week!) where ever I think I need it. Usually it’s just a little bit on my chin and neck to hide the hair a little bit better. I then add my foundation, a little liner, eyeshadow, and mascara and I’m good to go. I do want to mention that the BB cream is so light that it feels like you have absolutely nothing on your face. As a matter of fact, it definitely helps your other makeup blend in better for a flawless look!
This is truly the best that I’ve ever looked with makeup! I’m very excited about it and it’s definitely a product I would pick up again.
The Lowdown on L’Oreal Magic BB Cream
The Magic BB Cream comes in four shades. I received the light one. Surprisingly it blended perfectly with my skin’s undertone. The product is supposed to give a sheer coverage needed to creat the natural bare skin finish that a lot of us are looking for. It also has built-in skincare benefits with four beautifying action. It smoothes, hides flaws, hydrates all day, and it evens out the skin. The cream is infused with skin care ingredients such as Panthenol, Vitamin E and Glycerin for a full twenty-four hour hydration. So am I crazy about it? Yes, yes I am!
L’Oreal Magic BB Cream retails for $10.95 and it can be found in mass food and drug retail stores. It’s not pricey like many other products; and for the benefits, I’d definitely buy it again, and again, and again. You get the picture! If you are looking for more information on the product you can always visit L’Oreal here.

I’ve been using this BB Cream too, and really like it. It’s super light and feels like nothing, just like you mentioned…I have some bad dark spots on my face so I still need to use a concealer but am really happy with it. I only wish it had SPF in it.
