Last week I was asked by She Speaks if I would like to partner with them on a sponsored campaign for Downy from P&G Household Products. I can’t get enough Downy. I have the brand’s wrinkle release for when I (or we) travel, their dryer sheets, and most importantly their fabric conditioner/softener. Needless to say we’re a Downy family, and I always pick it up for less at Walmart – ya’ll should too!
So the other day the boys and I went to the pool, and I don’t know if you noticed but that chlorine smell can really get into your towels. In my opinion, if you don’t use Downy when you wash your towels, that smell, it rarely ever goes away. I love having thick fluffy towels that are static free and plushy soft. That’s what Downy does
Check out this video I made after I washed our pool day towels. I was sitting out in my garden, as the sun was setting and I thought I would give Downy a shout out!
I know I’m a mess, but I love being outside during the summer time – mind you we’re infested by Cicadas this year – Gross! Anyways, I also wanted to share with you some other uses for Downy that you probably had no clue about. If you did know these, then you’re a true Downy fan – Keep Fluffin’!
Other Cool Downy Tips:
1. Streak-free Glass: I probably have way more glass in my house than any mom with three boys should have. That being said they’re also the dirtiest spots! If you mix 1/2 cup of Ultra Downy with one cup of water and 2 TBSP of alcohol you’ll get streak free glass! I also want to mention that this stuff is so amazing that it actually repels dust – that means that you’ll go an extra day or two between dusting again! MOM-1 DUST-0
2. Stops Hair From Frizzing: You’re probably wondering after watching that video why my hair isn’t a big pile of frizz. Well I have a secret! I use Downy as a leave in conditioner and frizz tamer! No lie! Here’s how you do it: In a large spray bottle add 1/4 cup Downy, 1 cup water, and 3 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar. The vinegar also has conditioning agents and works amazingly with Downy!
3. Kiss Stuck Pans Goodbye: No lie ya’ll Downy can unstick your burnt pans like nobody’s business. Toss that steal wool away and do this instead: In your dish soaking water add 1/4 cup of Downy. Let your pans soak in it for about thirty minutes to an hour and wash away! That’s it! Simple!
If you have any other tips that Downy is great for, please feel free to share them below! Downy is available at Walmart and on Walmart.com for everyday low prices. Pick some up today to start #ProtectingClothesYouLove
