My husband and I spent four amazing days on the Delaware Coast. Specifically, we stayed at The Resort at Massey’s Landing. It was truly magical and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect, since we were already celebrating our eighth wedding anniversary. We were given a packed itinerary, and so grateful for it. Due to tours and excursions, we were able to discover a majestic area that made us fall in love with Delaware – and with each other even more!

Arrival at Massey’s Landing
You guys, we needed this vacation is the worst way possible. It has been a tough year, and we were ready for a fresh start. We left Ohio at 3 am Friday morning and drove straight to Delaware. We stopped once for gas. The arrival to Massey’s Landing couldn’t come quick enough. I can tell you that as soon as we crossed into Delaware, we were greeted with a beautiful country side with fields of corn and soy. The aroma permeating us was fresh grass and salt water air.
We were home.
The itinerary went as follows:
- Wine and Garden Tour – courtesy of Massey’s Landing and Delmarva Tours – Ask for Bob to be your tour guide and driver!
- Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery
- Lavander Field – Lavender Farm owned by an awesome retired educator!
- Brimming Horn Meadery – Where the Vikings gather – no lie!
- Evening Boat Tour along Rehoboth Bay
- Visit Rehoboth Beach
- Walk the mile-long historic boardwalk
- Crabbing and Clamming – don’t forget your license!
We had a packed four days, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Below is a slide show of our cabin. I seriously didn’t want to leave the cabin at all. It had EVERYTHING!
Vacationing at Massey’s Landing
You guys this place is not only romantic but also family-centric oh and 100% pet-friendly! In fact, it’s so pet-friendly that it even offers a doggy park and beach area! All of which are super clean, because we all know pet parents don’t want their furbabies playing in poop! It features a heated pool and pool bar all located at the main clubhouse.
Massey’s Landing also features a heated pool and pool bar all located at the main clubhouse.
Over by the beach, it also has a tiki bar and restaurant with some amazing views!
We had just returned from the wine and garden tour and relaxed with a Pina Colada watching the storm roll in. It was breath taking!
Stay tuned for tomorrow when I share our Wine and Garden Tour experience and photos, our evening boat tour, and our trip to Rehoboth Beach!
