Even a two-hour car ride can make traveling with children immensely difficult. It’s not in the children’s character to sit still. They need to move and not feel restless, as parents we can hope they take a nice nap for the duration of the ride. If that doesn’t happen, I’ve partnered with Caitlin Dealership to bring you these accessories that can help throughout the traveling.
Kids naturally drop things and smear things and spill things, it’s like written in their DNA or something. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t protect your seats with seat covers. Seat covers help prolong the life of the upholstery and are inexpensive to purchase. Protect those seats folks!
Portable Trash Can
During my almost breakdown, it involved cleaning up potato chip crumbs, cookie crumbs, bags, and slushie cups from the floor bed, seat crevices, seat belts, etc. (another good reminder why you need seat covers.) I bought a trash can and it sits prettily in between the center console in the back. The kids are now forced to throw away their trash.
Not too long ago I was on the brink of a breakdown. Having OCD is not fun when you have three kids – and mine are all boys! They have books, toys, toy cars, loose arms from figurines, I think I found a toy eating a potato chip too! So honestly if your kids have their entire playroom in your backseat get an organizer. I did and I am so grateful for it. I no longer have to get stressed out or reach around the back to get something that fell. Cleaning up is a breeze too.
My SUV has tinted windows for the backseat, but my youngest has light sensitivity and so I bought a window shade. They’re super easy to install and your kids won’t get “blinded by the light.” Before I installed the window shade, my son would constantly scream out, “Mom turn off the sun!” Yea bubs, that’s not gonna happen! Also, it’s a good protectant against not only the Summer sun but Winter sun too. We all know how the rays just reflect themselves off of the snow and ice. multipurpose uses is what we’re all about right?
Ahh the trunk organizer, every mom’s dream come true. It can hold groceries, jackets, backpacks, sand toys, park toys, etc. It definitely keeps the clutter out of the car and out of site. Everything in one place and tidy.
It’s amazing what a few cheap buys can do for sanity and organization. Let me know how these work out for you!
