As I have mentioned many times before I love the outdoors and I love camping. Living in Ohio and only minutes away from PA and WV we are surrounded by mountains. It’s beautiful and serene and if you have the right equipment you can live outdoors for over a week! (Not that I would ever stay there that long…but you get the jist).
If you are a planning a full on outdoor camping trip, you have to make sure you have the right equipment. Without it, you’ll just end up regretting your entire outing! Here are the things that I suggest that you should have.
It’s very important to invest in a very good yet light weight tent, especially if you are camping with a family. For tents, mostly Outwell that are the best. Don’t forget a warm and comfortable sleeping bag, a few jackets and even gloves. Most people in the US do the majority of their camping during fall and early winter. It gets very cold in the mountains, so these are essential. Footwear is also important because keeping warm is key to a successful trip to the mountains. You want to avoid frostbite at all costs! It’s a life threatening thing!
I personally like to camp but in a cabin with heating. I love fishing and hunting, but sleeping on the floor is very uncomfortable. If I’m brave enough this year to camp outdoors I will definitely be investing in these items. That’s a promise!
What essential items do you take with you on a trip up to the mountains?
