In wine country, it’s fascinating to take long drives along vineyards and to see the amazing colors that Autumn has to offer. With all the long drives and day trips you’ll be taking, it’s important to take good care of your car. Here are some expert Autumn car care tips for all you Southern CA drivers.
Clear off any debris
Fall can be tough driving weather. It gets cold and dark early, and storms roll through often. It’s imperative to have perfect visibility for these conditions. Be sure to get rid of any leaves, dirt, mud, etc.
Check the windshield wipers
Make sure they can wipe water and grime away quickly and efficiently. If you start seeing streaks, or they squeak, it’s time to replace your windshield wipers.
Check all fluids
The cooler the weather gets, the more fluids it uses up. It’s important to check your fluids and be sure to have them all filled.
Vacuum interior areas
Leaves and mud can litter your floor mats. This can cause a slip and slide while trying to get in and out of your vehicle. Be sure to vacuum and wipe up whenever you can.
Keep tabs on the important stuff
Brake pads, tires, the engine and other vital components of the car should be maintained regularly to keep the vehicle operating at optimal performance levels. You’re going to need good brakes for slippery fall and winter roads and good tires to grip the road.
