Ok, this is more of an adult destination. There is plenty of nightlife in key west and even in the middle of January, the temperatures are mild. Love skiing? love sitting by a roaring fire drinking hot cocoa while the snow falls outside? Don’t quite have the budget to spring for Aspen? Keystone is where you’d want to go. Plenty of lodges and lots of family fun for those who love the snow and mountains.
Believe it or not, it’s not just for adults anymore. There’s tons of family friendly activities and sights to see, and going in the off season helps you save money on rooms. World class restaurants and shows to be seen, this city never sleeps.
Again for those who want to escape the cold. Orlando is teeming with destinations for everyone. In the heart of the city, you have Disney World, Universal Studios and tons of nightlife for the adults.
Ok, I’m going to say that you should probably save this one for the adults. Not that New Orleans has nothing to offer kids, but it definitely skews more to the nightlife. Tons of great food, awesome jazz music, and history.
If you and your family love the water you can’t really get much better than Catalina. Quaint and rustic, you can sit by the seaside and relax watching the boats, or go out and cruise the water on your own.
